The Fundamental Program is the first level for adults (over the age of 16) beginning their Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey. You will learn the positions that are the foundation of BJJ. This program is designed to give you an understanding of how leverage and technique can be used to overcome larger and stronger opponents in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The program consists of ground techniques, takedowns, and self-defense. After completion of this program you will be able to participate in our Advanced Program.
Whether your individual goal is fitness, self-defense, to become a tournament champion, or a mixed martial arts champion, it all starts with the key fundamentals learned during the Fundamental program.
Class structure is formed around a rigorous warm-up, drills, a lesson in technique, partner training to practice the technique from the lesson, and closely supervised live sparring.
Our Advanced Program is designed for students that have completed and mastered the Fundamentals. This program focuses on more advanced techniques, including combinations, variations, and transitions between different techniques. As you progress through this program, you will expand your knowledge of Jiu-Jitsu and you will begin to develop your own unique “game” of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The Advanced Program classes include specific technique and combination practice, advanced drills and live sparring.
